Love Field plot
"Her life began when her world fell apart."
1963. Lurene Hallett (Pfeiffer) strongly identifies with Jackie Kennedy and is disappointed when she cannot shake her hand at Love Field airport in Dallas. She only gets really upset when the president is later assassinated. Her husband doesn't understand why she wants to go to the funeral, but she packs her suitcase and gets on the bus, where she meets a black man (Haybert) who is traveling with his daughter.
