Sabah plot
Sabah, just forty, is a smart Muslim woman of Arab descent. She lives in Toronto. Her zest for life and independence is on the back burner, because for twenty years she has devoted her life to her loving but demanding family; especially the care of her amiable mother. Things used to be different, but Sabah's family retired to a more conservative Arab lifestyle after her father's sudden death on arrival in Canada. In addition to her family obligations, Sabah is constantly frustrated by the need to answer to her older brother Majid, who manages not only family money, but also the family's choices.
