Pinhead, Jester, Blade and Six Shooter battle Baby Oopsy Daisy, Jack Attack and Grizzly Teddy. Fortunately, this crossover doesn't take itself too seriously, the characters are nicely acted and the puppets are of course always cool. When Baby Oopsy Daisy starts spouting bawdy lyrics again, I can't help but laugh. The other jokes are too lame for words, but successful. I think a movie like this is only fun if you've seen the previous Puppet Master movies or Demonic Toys. If you have that and appreciate them, then you definitely shouldn't miss this one!

Within the horror genre, crossover films are always a nice idea, especially when they involve cheap concepts. Then of course you have a smaller following to satisfy and as a director and screenwriter you can enjoy more creative freedom. Director Ted Nicolaou, however, is more interested in the unimpressive characters and the effect of the stale content, which means that the final showdown takes far too long and should only last minutes. It especially makes a deceptive and insincere impression, since you make off with it in marketing and ultimately hardly do anything with it. Still, all the puppets are quite funny, Corey Feldman does a fine job and overall there's plenty of entertaining pulp (although ugly put together). From a qualitative point of view it all makes absolutely no sense, but that is somewhat forgivable within these types of productions. However, this does not apply to the extremely disappointing finale.
