Godzilla, King of the Monsters! plot
"Incredible, unstoppable titan of terror!"
Godzilla, a huge fire-breathing dragon, is disturbed in his sleep by nuclear tests being conducted on his island. The beast makes its way to Tokyo, dealing massive damage. American journalist Steve Martin happens to be nearby and, along with his friend Dr. Daisuke Serizawa find a way to destroy the monster.

I saw this film immediately after the 1954 film on the same night. This is an American version and it adds nothing at all to that earlier film from 1954. Very copious with similar scenes, with the difference that the American actor Raymond Burr plays the leading role as a journalist amid a Japanese cast. Takarada is also present here.
I didn't mean to see this movie, but I made a mistake with the movie from 2 years earlier. This film is also slightly shorter, but it doesn't really add anything extra. Superfluous and purely to please the American public. But to say that Burr has a big part in that, well no.
