Okhotnik plot

Twelve-year-old Erken lives with his single mother, a local, daring beauty. One day a hunter appears from the steppe and spends the night with this woman. The boy reacts defiantly: he steals the hunter's horse and weapon, and robs a local store. The hunter doesn't want Erken to end up in jail, and wants to help the boy's mother, so he takes Erken into the wilderness.
