Beautiful film adaptation of the well-known Remí. I just didn't recognize Pierre Richard until after the second part, but he is of course still a fantastic actor, but I hadn't seen him in a similar role to this one. I just didn't quite get the idea if the ending and events in the book match the storyline in this movie. It seems to deviate a bit from the traditional story here and there, but that does not have to be a downside. The decor, the atmosphere and the acting make the film a fairytale-like whole, which I really liked. Four stars

Beautifully arranged (TV) film adaptation of the world-famous book by Malot. It is therefore a mortal sin - (*insert your favorite curse here*) - that the wonderful source material here is ruined purely and only in the main line; Do people really think that this will make it 'even better'...? It is incomprehensible that people treat 'cultural heritage' in this way.

Come on, comedian Pierre Richard is a memorable Vitalis, and little Sitruk is adorable. The musical theme (the accorLeon) even works like a charm.

Let's see if the older movies can still be found somewhere (and the complete anime series, of course). Malot's work demands a grand and pure film adaptation.

You hardly need to read or see this book or movie to know this title. The title Alone In The World is a title that speaks for itself in terms of fame and has even become a phrase, yet many people will not know what it is about and I must admit that I never got around to reading it. And that while it was among my father's children's books that I devoured several of.

The story revolves around Remi, a former foundling who would rather be lost than rich in times of poverty and depression, and this is how the little guy starts walking with the worldly musician Vitalo and his retinue of animals. And the young Remi certainly does experience it, but it is not all sunshine, as the children's home and the villain who preys on the young man because of the bloodline and a possible inheritance testify.

It is certainly not all bad, in fact it certainly has a certain quality. Yet I don't have anything with it for a moment that isn't so strange because I'm simply not the target group and the nostalgia of the book doesn't play a role for me either. Obviously, this miniseries falls into the category of children or family and that can of course be seen in the fact that it all remains very good. It is nice that Fontane, despite his unreliable appearance, still tries to make the best of the situation, Pierre Richard is strong and the death of Vitalo is a sad thing.

Still, I prefer to leave this assessment to lovers of the story and the intended audience. My opinion is nice for once, especially solid, but not worth repeating, once was enough.
