"A constant battle of resistance."
Slowly there is an invasion going on on the earth. Parasitizing worms crawl through the nose or ears to people's brains and thus take control over them. The normal high school student Shinichi Izumi and the parasite "Migi" in his palm are in a symbiotic agreement in which their personalities remain intact. Together with Detective Hirama, they fight the parasites disguised as humans, with the dubious help of serial killer Uragami, who is the only one who can tell the difference between humans and humans with parasites.
