Pennies from Heaven plot

Arthur, a sheet music salesman, has an excellent ear for hit potential, but unfortunately no one wants to listen to him. His imagination regularly makes him burst into singing, so that the frustrations in his life are framed by songs. When he meets the innocent teacher Eileen, life seems to smile at him. But when she discovers that he is actually married and that she is also pregnant with his child, she flees. Arthur will do everything in his power to find her.
