"A True Story of an Artic Adventure."
In 1896, three whalers are stranded in northern Canada and seek shelter with an Eskimo tribe. Over time they feel more and more at home in the Eskimo village and they introduce booze, gambling and theft. At first the Eskimos accept all this, but there is increasing resistance to this way of life and they long for their old life.
