Freeze Frame plot

Freeze Frame is a film that starts off very interesting, but still fizzles out.

One of the biggest problems is protagonist Lee Evans, who actually shaved his eyebrows, according to imdb, which both fascinates and irritates. Every now and then I had the urge to crawl into my TV set and slap him in the face. He did go over the edge of over-acting here and there.

Opponent Rachael Stirling did not convince me for a moment.

But the biggest problem was the grand finale that just kept whining and whining and whining. "Stop it now!"

Too bad, since the film exudes enough paranoia, expresses interesting ideas, and has enough plot twists to keep you glued to the tube.

Unfortunately, there are too many irritations to guarantee the film an ok stamp. 2.5*, could have been more.

The beginning is reasonable but 3 stars is certainly not worth it. I found it boring, bad acting, few surprises, literally fell asleep. The morning I started the sequel but it made me irritable, especially the last part I watched reluctantly.

Still a bit underrated I think. Strong starting point for a fine low-budget psychological thriller, which is largely fulfilled. The paranoid, freaky level is high and I like that. Gradually the acting starts to be somewhat disappointing, the characters are just a little too much enlarged as in a cliché crime film. Instead of the premise unfolding nicely, the kind of twist appears that isn't really that exciting. The effect is therefore a bit disappointing (that all his cameras can be rendered harmless by pulling the cable loose on one / that whole denouement that takes place just perfectly in front of the laptop). But moving forward, the stakes and attempted setting in this budget are strong. Definitely recommended for fans of the different genre. A half off in this review.
