Knetter plot
Bonnie and her mother Lis love elephants. Lis is a sweet but not an ordinary mother. Sometimes she is very busy and cheerful, and then again very gloomy. Bonnie's boyfriend Koos has a lot of brothers and sisters and Bonnie really wants a brother too. But her mother doesn't think that's such a good idea. You don't just have babies, so it's better to get a pet, says Lis. One day, to surprise Bonnie, Lis takes an elephant home.

Too typical youth film.
Throw in a somewhat heavier theme and then start hammering on all fronts to keep it as light as possible.
Only the bright and colorful world could charm me. Unfortunately, on the other hand, there are rather annoying elements that quickly led to irritation. First and foremost is the abominable soundtrack that is present in just about every scene to express the feeling of the scene as hard as possible. The result is a Top 100 compilation CD of rejected pop songs. Terribly ordinary, immediately turns it into a very noisy movie.
The acting and certain characters also came out poorly. That red guy is just very annoying and the neighbor is also very bland. Van Houten is mostly unobtrusive and makes herself quite easy with her character.
Jesse is still doing quite well, but her voice over parts are also not of the best level. Actually only the master was a really nice guy, the scenes with the child protection things could have been done in their entirety.
By the way, the drama finally falls into the water with the ultra bland ending, I thought it was more something for an Ernest film, a bit very easy all of a sudden.
Didn't like it much in the end, except for the warm visual atmosphere that radiates from the film. The rest is rather transparent and above all very boring.

Just set up Knetter last night. It's a pretty fun movie. Especially for children. The acting was good in general, but I didn't think Daan Schuurmans was that great. And in the beginning I thought Carice van Houten's character was very dull: she's in bed all the time in a ''sick mood''. Fortunately, that changes; and Carice did it again just right. However, I had no problem with the fact that a comparison was often made between elephants. Just a nice looking away film that I can recommend to children who often like films that can be seen in the Zapp-Bios on Nederland 3.

Watched this family movie once and it wasn't wrong. Still a heavy theme, but still well presented and fun. The cast did a great job and it looked good.
Definitely don't think it's bad.
