My Way Home plot

After all, the third part in the trilogy, My way home, is the end of Jamie's journey. This film is set in the 1950s and shows us Jamie around the age of eighteen. Reluctantly, the director of the orphanage lets him go back to the village with his father. First he stays with his grandmother again, until she rejects him completely. His father sends him to the mine. After an outburst from Agnes, his wife, Jamie returns to the home. He gets a job as a clerk at a clothing store and is placed with foster parents for a short time. He becomes a homeless person and stays in a Salvation Army home. Later he reports to the RAF (Royal Air Force) and goes to Egypt. There he meets Robert, a somewhat conceited figure, whom he befriends. Then his life changes.

Last part of the triptych in which Jamie's life is presented at an accelerated pace (the desert period, which in my opinion lasts too long and does not contain many elements, with the exception of) in the typical film style without any transition between the different phases (home, in the village, mine, home...).

Less appealing than the two previous ones and at the end there is, I think, some symbolism (the tree, the abandoned house) that possibly represents hope and disappointment because of the sadness of the past.
