Joe (Cary Grant) knows all the tricks to get money from people who like to gamble. When he hears that there is a lot of money in war collections, he wants to take it from them. Dorothy, the leader of the collection, does not trust him and he decides to approach the organization from the inside by volunteering, but gradually he falls for Dorothy and she for him.
