A wealthy thug doesn't know whether or not to sell his ship the Blue Star. Finally, he decides to sink it to collect the insurance money. Then the Charleston swindler comes on the scene.

Always avoided this Spencer movie, because I didn't get the impression that there was a lot of fighting in it, the only reason I watched these movies anyway. About five years ago I bought the Dutch DVD for only 2 euros at the Blokker (and sold it quickly for the same amount), but I found the mediocre, cringeworthy English audio in particular to ruin the film so much that I had difficulty finishing it. had looked.
Years later I bought the film on a German blu ray and watched it in Italian with surprisingly enough (because this option is not mentioned anywhere) German subs and that is a clear improvement and looks nicer.
Still not a winner and little action and fighting, but a nice and cheerful film, in which we see Spencer as the leader of a group of crooks, who - through a preconceived plan - screw a criminal out of his leg and also let him run for stealing of painting of senior police officer.
In the end it turns into one big fight (including clowns and acrobats) during the finale, in which Spencer unfortunately only participates in dribs and drabs. We do see him dancing on stage in this film with a group of dancers and singing a song together with a group of fellow scammers, but whether you as a viewer are waiting for that...?
The great villain is played by James Coco, who skims through the film and Lom is the chief of the police in a somewhat ungrateful role. We also see British supporting and character actor Lacey (best known as a Nazi in Raiders of the Lost Ark) as one of Spencer's companions.
Fairly fun crime comedy, but not exactly the highlight of Spencer's career.
