Thriller in which creepy landlord rents house to newly married couple and peeps through hidden cameras. That sounds cheap and exploitative. And it partly is. Yet the film rises above both qualifications in its execution.

The peeping is portrayed sleazy and unsavory. This is done by means of camera images from the house, interspersed with shots of the peeping landlord. It feels uncomfortable and filthy.

The atmosphere is stuffy and oppressive. The images do a lot, but the landlord does the most. A dirty man with a sloppy appearance and ragged clothes. Talking almost unintelligibly. The man radiates evil. Good filthy role.

A nice detail is that there is more going on in the couple's private life than the usual happy rose scent. The people are real. They have secrets that the camera mercilessly exposes.

This slowly adds other tension-increasing gradations to the story. This attempt to broaden the story deserves praise. The drama used is unfortunately not very sensational and feels somewhat forced. As far as I'm concerned, a not entirely successful attempt.

Not a real horror. More of a thriller. A bit gore. A bit of fright. Good atmosphere.

Nice movie.

You can't call this landlord a beauty. And he's not very talkative either. Reminds me of the Hamburg serial killer Fritz Honka from Fatih Akin's Der Goldene Handschuh. And as the title suggests, he's also a voyeuristic pervert.

Except for the landlord rather annoying acting, ditto couple, but otherwise a fairly entertaining thriller home invasion. Not pure horror, because it never gets really scary.

A bit long-winded at times and perhaps too much focus on the couple and the affair. The ending doesn't make up for everything, but all in all fun to catch up on. I found the underlying tension quite doable.
