A bank runner loses his bag of money and is fired on suspicion of theft. A finance company suspects a wealthy man in him and appoints him as director, in which capacity Brand develops a plan for social housing, but at the same time is no match for the power and status of his new position. His daughter Willy brings him back to the ground with both feet.
