Dondup lives in Bhutan, a Buddhist kingdom deep in the Himalayas. Dondup is a college graduate but reluctant to work as a government official in his rural village. He would much rather pick apples in the United States in order to break with his destined fate and try his luck elsewhere. Longing for a different and better life, Dondup begins his journey.
