The First Film plot

The pioneers of the film are Thomas Edison and the Lumière brothers. However? This documentary sheds light on a forgotten figure, Louis Le Prince. The Frenchman made the world's first films as early as 1888 in Leeds. A few weeks before he was due to sail to New York to show his discovery to the world, he mysteriously disappeared from the globe during a train ride between Dijon and Paris. His body has never been found. Based on interviews and visiting relevant locations, director David Wilkinson shows how film history is written.
