The 'Maggie' plot
Mactaggart is captain of the old coal ship The Maggie. He and his loyal crew are desperate for work. When the opportunity arises to transport valuable furniture for wealthy American businessman Marshall, the captain does not shy away from a few lies. When Marshall discovers that The Maggie as a ship can damage his reputation, he does everything he can to get the cargo off the ship.
