Fatima plot
Fatima lives alone with her two daughters, Souad, 15, a rebellious teenager, and Nesrine, 18, who is starting her medical studies. Fatima does not speak the French language and sees this as a frustration in her daily contact with her daughters. Both are her engine, her pride, her concern too. In order to offer the best possible future, Fatima works as a cleaning lady in staggered hours. One day she falls down a flight of stairs. Now that she can't go to work, she starts writing in Arabic, which until now has not been possible for her to say in French to her daughters.
