De Leerling plot

Forty-year-old Lana, a Dutch teacher at the VMBO, does not know what to do with her new student Benny. The sixteen-year-old is a loose cannon that has made Lana the target of his humiliating taunts. The feeling of powerlessness that the aggressive and capricious student evokes in her drives the teacher to despair. She is afraid of Benny but at the same time, to her own dismay, is attracted to him. Lana struggles to escape Benny's dark attraction.
