Seems to start out as our standard haunted house (self opening doors and windows etc.) with a mostly African-American cast. Pretty nice haunted house from the outside (see poster) but the inside is just as we know them. But then we go on the voodoo tour and it becomes quite worthwhile after all.

Not my favorite horror genre this blaxploitation. Almost a derivative of the much better House on haunted hill from 1959.

Ghosts are one thing and haunted house is another, but why always have to use voodoo rituals in Caribbean or African horror, no. Something cultural perhaps, but I don't like it.

The film looks and is cheap. The mountain in the shape of a skull alone. You can't call it very serious. The house is worth it in terms of setting, but the low budget of the film plays tricks on the whole several times.
