Arna's Children plot
In the last years of her life, Arna Mer (1929-1995) led a theater group of Palestinian children in the West Bank. Her son Juliano, who directed the group, has been recording the rehearsing children all these years. Some of the children in the theater group are Yussef, Ashraf and A'lla. By working on drama, they try to process their experiences from the refugee camp and daily reality. Through her active commitment to the children, Arna fulfills an important role in the Jenin community. If the Israelis occupy the city, it means the end of the theater company. Arna won't let it go. She is developing an alternative education system.
