For sixty-year-old Fernando Robles, a rich spiritual life is more important than material wealth. He is a noble, proud and committed man. He considers his job - he teaches pedagogy at the university - a real calling and he is still madly in love with his wife. Despite the economic crisis, they just manage to make ends meet. Their son Pedro, however, gave up his writing aspirations to live in Spain. He now has a lucrative job there and lives a comfortable life with his wife and 2 children. Fernando has never forgiven him for this flight from the homeland. When he is forced to retire, a new Argentine government austerity rule, his life seems to collapse.
