Cine Ambulante - Licht in Tijden van Duisternis plot

Documentary about the film Tierra Sin Pan that Luis Buñuels once made in shabby Las Hurdes. For this, Gieling was looking for someone who could show Buñuel's old film in the village square. In Salamanca he found Joaquín Fuentes, who, in imitation of his father, is one of the last traveling film operators in Spain. His ten-year-old son now accompanies him. Cine Ambulante is a tribute to the traveling film and the public in the villages around Salamanca, for whom the arrival of the film on Sunday during the Franco dictatorship was the only sign of life from outside.
