The Visual Bible: The Gospel of John plot

"For God loved the world So much…"

The life of Jesus Christ according to the gospel of the apostle John. His story begins with John the Baptist coming face to face with Jesus during his baptismal sessions and turning his own followers over to Him. Jesus preaches about the kingdom of God and performs miracles. He makes a crippled man walk again, restores sight to a blind man, and finally raises Lazarus from his grave. But as the influence of Jesus increases, so does the resistance to his actions by the authorities. And that eventually leads to his crucifixion.

The Life of Jesus According to John, or, a film adaptation of the New Testament according to John. For culture barbarians who do not know the story, this is an extremely honest, very well-made and very captivating film adaptation. For those who do know the story, but have had the Bible in a box in the attic for a few years, this is an excellent refresher course. Various greats - and Jim Caviezel - have already played the role of Jesus, but Henry Ian Cusack's interpretation of Jesus is equally fascinating, especially because he manages to bring together the human dignity and the divinity of Jesus in his characterization in a striking and credible way. "I'm telling you the truth: this is a remarkable filmization of the life of Jesus Christ"!

Henry Ian Cusick is fine as Jesus in this more than decent tale of the Messiah's life, the only point of concern being that more money could have been spent, especially on extras.

Has the style and form of an EO TV film, which is further reinforced by the theological conclusion and 'assignment' to Christians at the end.

Nevertheless, especially in the educational field very nice as a visual story without too much reinterpretation. I will leave the content analysis aside here. Cusick is a charismatic interpreter of Jesus.
