Werdegang of a young scientist in which director Zanussi immediately goes into centrifuge mode, so that the first half seems to consist mainly of snapshots. The second half turns out a lot stronger so that we can empathize more with the main character. Be aware of the unsavory animal testing and psychiatry that pass by.
