Couple in a Hole plot
A middle-aged British couple lives like wild animals in a cave in a forest in France. Less than a year ago, they lost everything in a fire. Because of this trauma, they decided to disappear and live in their current situation. The woman does not want to return to civilization, but the man finds the constant memory of their misfortune more and more unbearable. A secret friendship with a local farmer only strengthens his desire to leave. When the relationship is strained, repressed emotions surface.
