It is the 90s and writer Gerard F. Zwaen (Peter van de Witte) is in a difficult position. He is in a divorce, his status as a writer is declining, his latest novella 'The Spider' is not taken seriously and above all he has money problems. However, Zwaen's life takes an unexpected turn when he finds his accountant in the middle of a horrific scene and he decides to appropriate part of the money he finds in a large bag...
