"MGM brings on the show with music - dancing - Technicolor"

As a favor to her sister, the actress Abigail, farmer Jane lets a group of actors use her barn as a theater for their next play. In return, everyone helps her with the daily farm chores. Jane soon falls for Director Joe. However, he is already engaged to Abigail.
