"Fast times, easy money, big trouble."
The story is about the misadventures of a number of gangsters and their girlfriends. Kao is the central character. Together with his best friend, the explosive, frustrated Flathead and his girlfriend Pretzel, both exponents of the Taiwanese generation X, he concocts plans to get rich quickly and easily. They open a gambling den in the mountains, but that soon goes wrong, as do their meddling with an amusement arcade on the mainland. A complicated scheme involving pigs, land and government does indeed bring in money, but when Flathead wants to collect old loans, he is beaten up.
