While I thought Talbot was going to die in 1941's The Wolf Man, it turns out he survived. It is the beginning of an obvious sequel that unfortunately cannot match The Wolf Man (1941). Chaney plays his role well again as the Wolf Man, but unfortunately Bela Lugosi plays very poorly as Frankenstein's monster. I didn't think the film was very atmospheric and the story was weak. I was quite disappointed with the outcome because it was hardly exciting and I found the ending disappointing.

This was really disappointing. Lugosi is certainly not the best Frankenstein. I'm afraid the only reason this film existed was the success of the other two films. The original film "Frankenstein" and "The Wolf Man" were so successful that another clever marketing employee came up with the bright idea of putting both creatures in one and the same film. Success guaranteed. On the other hand, there was certainly no quality guarantee!

2*
