Memorias del Subdesarrollo plot
Sergio, a wealthy writer from a wealthy family, decides to stay in Cuba, even though his wife and friends have fled to Miami. Sergio looks back: on the changes in Cuba, from the De Castro Revolution to the Cuban Missile Crisis, the result of living in an underdeveloped country and his relationship with his girlfriends Elena and Hanna.

Good Cuban film, which at times comes across as a documentary, which is quite clever in itself. At times you can clearly see that the film is an indictment of communism, but at the same time it also seems to be a kind of ode to Cuba and then especially to the way in which people knew how to deal with the hard life of that time there.
Sometimes it's a bit too disjointed and fragmented, but overall it's quite engaging. The love story is also quite intriguing and has almost very big consequences. for the main character.
I understand that they are proud of this film in Cuba. It is well put together and at times quite strong, but sometimes a bit disjointed. In any case, it fits well with the warm temperatures of the summer, which has also just started here.
