The Anniversary Party plot

"It's not a party until something gets broken."

Famous couple Joe and Sally Therrian are going through a rough patch in their six-year marriage. Joe's novels are selling fast, but Sally's film career is taking a hit. Joe gets the rights to cast the actors for the film adaptation of his latest book, but he gives the lead role not to Sally but to her competitor, Skye Davidson. Plus, he invited Skye to their party too. Will the marriage survive the party?

Mediocre film about a couple in Hollywood who celebrate their six-year wedding anniversary with some friends in their house. A casual film made with friends and in which some characters are undoubtedly close to the actors themselves. This joint directorial debut from Alan Cumming and Jennifer Jason Leigh certainly contains some nice scenes, but it doesn't really go anywhere and also hates for way too long.
