Inspectors Niemans and Reda are assigned to the case after a double of Jesus is linked to the murder. Meanwhile, there are more and more victims; all monks who bear the names of apostles... Treasure hunting with a dash of Da Vinci Code / Indiana Jones. something like that. Lots of running and jumping, some gruesome corpses, a striking scene in a supermarket, cool locations and an exuberant visual style. Yet in the end it all doesn't work at all.

Mainly because the scenario is an inimitable mess. A confused prelude gets a reasonable sequel when it becomes clear what the situation is with the victims, but the finale is a mandatory and silly number that does not convince in any way.

Sequel to Crimson Rivers, in which see that it makes Inspector Nieman delve into a rather separate case. New colleague on duty is Benoît Magimel who can hold his own alongside Jean Reno. Camille Natta is the beauty on duty.

The story is a lot less and you notice that after a while. In the beginning Olivier Dahan manages to create a nice atmosphere that sometimes reminded me of a mix between Da Vinci Code and Banlieu 13. But once they really have to investigate and the moments of the denouement you feel that the script rattles too hard .

I would have loved to have seen Dahan (joined) at the wheel of the previous film, which clearly had a much better script.

Provided one does not focus on the unrealistic and impossible in the film, it is quite a film that is worth watching. It's just fun to watch with your mind at zero.

The film would have been very good if it had been kept more realistic, precisely by bringing the B-class tension into the film in a simple "A-Team" like way, the end result has plummeted considerably.
