A Brazilian town is in danger of disappearing after the decision to build a dam. To avoid this decision, the residents must invent an important history for their village. The discredited postman (he delivered letters he made up himself) creates a file for this. He encourages the fantasy of the village storytellers and soon a furious poetic battle ensues among the villagers.
