Kadosh plot
Meir (Yoram Hattab) and Rivka (Yaël Abecassis) have been married for ten years and live in the ultra-Orthodox Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem. Their marriage remains childless. Women have little say in this community. The will of the rabbi is law. He decides that Meir should get a divorce and marry the fertile Haya. The love between Meir and Rivka is still great, but no match for the religious laws. Rivka leaves and sinks into a life of silence and solitude. The reaction of Rivka's sister Malka (Meital Barda) is completely different. Destined to marry the rabbi's assistant, she falls in love with a musician who has been ostracized by the community. Unlike Rivka, she decides to resist the imposed rules.
