The Verne Miller Story plot

Verne Miller is a frustrated police officer and therefore joins the mafia. He soon rises in the ranks of Al Capone, who makes him one of his right hands. Miller promises to help a friend if he gets into trouble. Despite Capone's express injunction, Miller tries to free his friend in Kansas City from the hands of the police.
