When his clown father dies, Jack Corcoran inherits an elephant. Jack transports the elephant, named Vera, across America by train, truck and on foot. Meanwhile, he tries to decide whether to sell Vera to a kind scientist or a ruthless circus entrepreneur.

Very funny, especially the rented truck scene is to tear you up. I like Bill Murray, he's the right person for that kind of role, but Matthew McConaughey also plays great.

I didn't know this movie with Murray at all and was pleasantly surprised, it's not his best comedy but
solid and entertaining in a kind of modest way, a kind of buddy road movie with man plus elephant, which is of course a unique combination.
