Mary Lennox, a spoiled English girl who grew up in India, comes to live with her uncle when her parents die. The grand Yorkshire manor house has a gloomy, melancholy atmosphere. Mary is raised there strictly. Eventually, however, she befriends the boy next door and a raven that leads her to a secret garden. At night she regularly hears screaming and whining somewhere in the house. Nobody wants to tell her about this. Mary investigates herself. Partly in black and white, partly in color.
