Charlie Pike (Jeff Fahey) is a hit man with no conscience. When he meets the widow Jordan (Yancy Butler), she tells him that her husband has been murdered. Peter Mayhew (James Coburn), a prominent lawyer, is involved in a secret committee that cleans up criminal figures. Jordan tells Pike that one of her late husband's former partners wants to kill her.
