Kiss of Life plot

Helen lives in London with her father and children. Her husband John is a social worker somewhere in Eastern Europe and has been away from home for several months. Helen thinks it's time for him to come home. She misses him terribly. After taking her children to school in the morning, she has a car accident. Caught in a twilight world, she moves further between life and death. Thousands of miles away in the war-ravaged Balkans, John is unaware of her passing, but he does feel the urgency to go home. Helen herself doesn't even realize she's dead yet. Thus begins a four-day odyssey: her father and the children must learn to live with her death and John must undertake a difficult and long journey to get home. Helen observes them all and with it the end of her life - she must first make peace with John before being able to let go of the earthly.
