Wir Wunderkinder plot
Neustadt an der Nitze celebrates the victory over Leipzig a hundred years ago with a big festival. During this event, a hot air balloon will take off, but fifteen-year-old schoolboys Hans Boeckel and Bruno Tiches try to sneak into the balloon. Boeckel is caught and punished, but Tiches manages to escape. Ten years later, during the war, Tiches is a successful businessman, but he is accused by the newspaper where Boeckel works as a journalist, and Tiches demands that Boeckel cause the newspaper to drop the charges.
