The Year My Voice Broke plot

Fifteen-year-old Danny grows up in a small town in New South Wales in the 1960s. He has been friends with the slightly older Freya since elementary school, but now Danny is starting to fall in love with her. However, she is attracted to the rebellious Trevor. After he is killed on the run from the police, Freya turns out to be pregnant.
