The second, and very enjoyable, installment in the Ghoulies series. Charles and Albert Band usually know how to make their series enjoyable. The Trancers, Puppet Masters, and Dollman series are all great, and the Ghoulies series is another fantastic series from Full Moon (then still Empire).

The story is completely pointless, but the puppets and the humor are brilliant. The direction, which is actually quite dull, is perfect for this kind of film, and judging a film on that basis is very easy!

Enjoyed it very much and now on to part 3!

3.5*

Fantastic second installment! Better on every level, actually. The Ghoulies are more prominent, which makes the "fun" feel much better. The setting, a carnival, is also perfectly chosen. Here, they can really let loose, like typical gremlins.

"Going wild" turns out to be an understatement in the end. That big rubber suit was truly the icing on the cake . Furthermore, the cast is much more entertaining, and the story is even less overpowered.

Hopefully I'll come across parts 3 and 4 again and they'll continue in a similar vein. This is so great!

Seen on the 91min uncut 4K version of MVD Rewind with Dolby Vision.

After the terribly bad part 1, I had little hope for this sequel, but I was pleasantly surprised and it was actually quite good!

Several fairground operators are being pressured by the owner's son. He demands they make a profit on their attractions within a week, or they won't have to return and will be out of business. Two of those employees are Uncle Ned and his nephew Larry. They run the haunted house called Satan's Den and fear the worst because things aren't going well. The owner assigns the dwarf Sir Nigel to work with Larry and Ned at Satan's Den. Then they receive unexpected "help" from the Ghoulies, who crank up the fear factor a few notches and show them how to run such a place. When the audience sees the demons in Satan's Den, they believe they're part of the attractions, and the entertainment becomes a sensation. However, this is short-lived when the first victims appear. Shortly after, the Ghoulies escape from the haunted house, and all hell breaks loose throughout the fairground.

The Ghoulies play a much bigger role here, and the setting is much more enjoyable. It was a great bit when all the carnival operators came to Larry's aid.
