"The odyssey of a young youth who wants no part of sex...he wants it all!"
Nineteen-year-old Bernard is a librarian in New York. Due to the suffocating influence of his overprotective parents, he leaves the parental home and moves into a boarding house. He tries, in imitation of his friend Raef, to have a life as a swinging playboy. However, his love for milk, the whining of his mother and his dog Dog seem to get in the way of all this. Finally, after his heart has been broken several times, the naive Bernard does grow up.
