A widely spread homage to Douglas Bader. An unlikely but true story about this fighter pilot, an example of perseverance and courage.

Decent film, somewhat time-bound of course, but still interesting to hear all this. Interesting, but some episodes a bit long winded.

Film admits in its foreword that it has modified some characters and that not everything is chronologically correct, but that is the case in many biopics.

Kenneth More was definitely best cast for this role.

Typical British 'old chap' war romance, here and there on the edge of old-fashioned. Looks great, but never becomes special, partly because of the somewhat mediocre cast.
I found the most interesting part was the learning to walk again, I also wondered how that was achieved from a production point of view.
