"She's Married to Him... He's Married to Her... and It's Sheer Bedlam from Morning 'till Night!"
When young Ellen, five years after the crash of the plane she was on, is still missing, husband and lawyer Nicholas officially declares her dead. He remarries the beautiful Bianca, but during their honeymoon Ellen suddenly stands in front of him again. Although Nicholas is naturally stunned, he is overjoyed to see her again. However, it turns out not to be easy to break the news of Ellen's return to Bianca.

It was only after watching the film that I looked up the trivia, so I didn't know that Marilyn Monroe and Dean Martin officially had the leading roles in a similar film with a different name.
Nowhere did I have the idea while watching this film that Doris Day did not officially have the leading role, because she played this role with conviction and reminded me several times in a positive way of the films she did with Rock Hudson.
The atmosphere in this film is also wonderful, a typical 1950s atmosphere (even though the film is from 1963) and beautiful colorful layouts.

Nice film in which a man remarries after his disappeared ex-wife is declared dead. A nice feature, but the film continues to revolve around the same thing a bit too much during the first half. Entertaining scenes and Doris Day is in her element here. A remake of My Favorite Wife which is even discussed in a nice way in the film.

Well made and with a great cast, but unfortunately the plot is so stale that it ends up being a lot of yawning. The clever dialogues in the court scenes prove that this was not necessary.
