Les Liaisons Dangereuses plot
Valmont and Juliette form a libertine couple who are each other's cynical accomplices in their extramarital escapades. However, when Valmont falls "truly" in love with his latest conquest, the decent Marianne, Juliette seeks revenge. Her anti-strategy eventually leads to tragedy. In this film, Roger Vadim transfers the classic scandalous epistolary novel of Choderlos de Laclos to Paris in the beatnik period around 1960.
