Edward II plot

"A classic tale of sex, revenge, and love"

When Edward II becomes king of England, he immediately allows his best friend Piers Gaveston, who had been exiled by his father, to return. Despite his low birth, he makes him a nobleman, much to the dismay of the high nobility and his family. His wife Queen Isabella feels ostracized by her husband and wants revenge. First she gets Gaveston banished again, then she has him recalled so he can be killed. Civil war breaks out and Isabella has Edward II boxed in.
